How your donation makes a difference

Beach Cities Health District is a government agency. Donations are tax-deductible within the guidelines of the law. Federal Tax ID: #95-1914553

Beach Cities Health District (BCHD) received start-up funding from the Mental Health Services Oversight and Accountability Commission to open allcove Beach Cities in November 2022. The $2.5 million, 4-year grant has allowed all programs and services to be completely free of charge for young people. We want to continue to prioritize access for all, which is why BCHD will continue to pursue grants as well as reimbursement through a typical medical billing model. However, some of the core components of what makes allcove unique – peer support, life and wellness skills, grab and go pantry – aren’t eligible for reimbursement. Your donation will help offset the costs of operating an allcove center and the “no wrong door” policy that allows access for any young person ages 12-25 to access essential mental health and other services.

allcove Beach Cities is the first building of BCHD’s planned revitalization of its 11-acre campus, known as the Healthy Living Campus project. The new standalone facility will allow young people to better access services and get the help they need, on their own terms. By supporting our young people, we support their families and our larger community – together.
